FUNIE Learner's Blog Entry 6

 Effective Definition

Through this lesson, I am able to state assumptions with reference to the observation on the user's experience. I am also able to identify issues by organizing assumptions of user experience into identifiable groups. Finally, I am also able to perform a crosscheck with the user. This lesson taught me the process of design thinking where there are 5 steps, each with their unique purposes. One of the steps is empathy where effective definition is achieved through interpreting observations. These interpretations are then used to create How Might We statements to guide ideation efforts. These interpretations come in the from of SAM and UNI, where we are able to create examples of people's experiences with reference to our problem statement. This method is extremely useful as it helps us come up with relevant solutions that tackle the specific problems from our data collection phase
